Tunes For Tuesday

I figured I would post a little something about the music I am constantly listening to and a few of my favorite bands that I cant get enough of here lately! First off, I need to mention that the Pandora Radio app on my iPhone is amazing. They also are a website where you can listen to Pandora radio online! (Click HERE for the online version or if you have a nifty little iPhone click HERE to see about downloading the FREE app in iTunes!) My favorite Pandora stations to listen to are Jason Mraz, City and Colour and the 'sleep station'.

Lately, I've been listening to a lot of The Fray after seeing them preform for the Nashville New Years Eve bash. Absolutely amazing live. Totally worth standing in the rain to see these guys. So naturally I've listened to their music even more lately. Another favorite band is City and Colour, a band that my boyfriend introduced me to. Their songs are all so good and just easy to listen to and fall in love with. And Dallas Green. OH MY WORD. He's simply adorable and you add that amazing voice on top of it and BAM. *le sigh*. Dream boat material for this girl. Little Hell is a great album as well as his other 2. You can never go wrong with a little Jason Mraz. I love to listen to him on long drives. So much fun!!
Another band I am IN LOVE with is WAKEY!WAKEY!. I saw Michael Grubbs on One Tree Hill and loved his sound. After a little internet research I found his band and am now OBSESSED. Can't get enough of it. For reals. So go look that 'ish up and add it to your Pandora stations.

A music post wouldn't be complete with out a little gushing over The Beatles and how much I absolutely love them. The album I keep playing in the car over and over here lately has been Let It Be...Naked.
Seriously, if you don't listen to The Beatles, go do it now.

Love, M.

This is my Saturday night.

I'm curled up in my heated blanket, staring at my blog trying to write and schedule some posts. Yay.

Book List: 11-15

It's been way too long since my last book list post! Seriously though, I read as often as I can so this shouldn't be as difficult as it apparently is. Here are a couple more goodies for you to look in to reading. Some of these I have finished recently and others are books I read forever ago!
11. The Perks of Being a Wallflower
12. Wuthering Heights
13. Priestess of Avalon- Ahh, sooooooo good.
14. Gone With The Wind- CLASSIC!
15. She's Come Undone

*Also, I want to point out that I will read just about ANYTHING. Really, anything I can get my hands on. The books that I post on this list ARE those that I feel are worthwhile but still, this list is just a pile of books that I manage to read. I'm not promising that they'll all be amazing books or they'll all change your life or anything like that. I'm just saying that if you want to read them, you should. I read simply to read. To meet new characters, read about new places or different time periods. I read to learn new words and see things through different people's eyes. I'm not going to stick only to the books that are 'popular' this week or this month. I will read anything and I encourage you to do the same. DON'T put down a book after only one chapter. Read the whole thing and then see what you think.
JUST READ!

Manic Monday

So, in true form, today was a Monday like only a Monday could be.  As everyone is moving towards the normal swing of things after the holidays, I have a lot going on in my head. I've yet to figure it all out to put in blog form so instead here are a couple of photos to sum up the past couple of days. Exciting, I know.

I got a Keurig for Christmas and my life is forever changed. Really. Go get one. Drink some coffee. Be happy. It's amazing and it's fun to press the flashy button and then BAM a cup of coffee. P.S.- Look at my precious fox coffee cup sitting there. Adorable.

^ See that?  I made it. All by myself. I'm hella proud.

Also, our tiny little bathroom needed some more space to store all our (read-MY) crap so being the handy woman I am, I put up these shelves all by myself. Honest. *Note: they've been there for two weeks and nothing has fallen down yet. Scoreeeee.
I'm really crafty these days. I decided to free-hand a lovely M on to some note cards to send to a friend. Presh. I know. Why can't I just craft for a living?

My brother came up to spend a couple of days and we got a chance to hang out. It's awesome that he can drive me around these days, but that makes me realize that he will be 18 in less than a month. That  makes me cry and feel old and cry some more. He drove us to our sister's, where we laid around doing nothing all together and she cooked our favorite dinner. Oh, and we made brownies. perfect.

BAM! LOOK AT THIS ADORABLE FABRIC I FOUND!!!
I can't wait to start on a project with this, hopefully tomorrow. I'm stuck between making a blanket for Easton or making something for the child I will never have. Crazy lady, here. I know.

One Line A Day

This year, I have every intention to blog more and do my best to come up with good post ideas. I also plan to use my new journal I received for Christmas. It's a line a day journal and every day, at the end of all the excitement, I have a small space to sum up my day. So cute and fun! So here to a new year filled with more blogs posts, more written down memories and more expression of me!
